Andrew Quattrin Reaches 50 Caps

On Sunday, February 26th, Andrew Quattrin became the twenty-ninth player in Major League Rugby to appear in 50 matches.

Andrew Quattrin (Free Jack #81) began playing Rugby during his freshman year at Wilfried Laurier University. While at Laurier University, he was named a four-time Ontario University Association All-Star and Laurier’s only men’s rugby player to be named OUA MVP in 2017. During his senior season, they would win their first OUA Bronze Medal. Known for his outstanding leadership, he earned the Fred Nichols Community Service award and was team captain. During his time at Laurier, he was selected for Canada U-20s. Also, while attending Laurier, he played for the Aurora Barbarians, earning club rookie of the year in 2015, and team MVP in 2017. During the 2019 MLR off-season, he earned the Barbarians President’s award.

In 2022 while a member of the Toronto Arrows, he was named the inaugural recipient of MLR’s S. Marcus Calloway Community Impact Award for his impact and community work in the greater Toronto area. Before joining the Free Jacks, Andrew made 48 appearances in MLR for the Toronto Arrows.

Andrew earned his first cap for Canada against the United States on July 17, 2019, becoming Canada #465. He has represented his country a total of 16 times.

He has played senior Rugby for Aurora Barbarians, Ontario Arrows, Toronto Arrows (Arrow #3), and provincially for the Ontario Blues.

Andrew has scored four tries, made 328 ball carries, has 1,343 meters run, 382 tackles, and 700 ruck arrivals in his career.

Major League Rugby is honoring the first 50 players to reach 50 caps and their role in building the legacy of MLR. The latest of the first twenty-nine players to accomplish 50 caps for MLR includes Kevin Sullivan of NOLA Gold,  Mason Pedersen of the Seattle Seawolves, and Ryan Matyas of San Diego Legion.
