On Friday, February 24th, Mason Pedersen became the the twenty-seventh player in Major League Rugby to appear in 50 matches.
In high school, Mason began playing Rugby for Belmont Shore Youth Rugby. While at the University of Arizona, he was selected as a Junior All-American. As a Junior All-American (USA U-20s), he competed in the 2016 Junior World Trophy. Following the Junior World Trophy, he was selected to the Collegiate All-Americans (USA U-23s and played during the All-American tour of Queensland.

Later in 2016, he was also selected to the USA Selects for the Americas Pacific Challenge. In 2017, Mason joined the US Maccabiah Rugby Team and vice-captained the team to a Maccabiah games Gold Medal in Rugby Union.
Prior to joining the Seawolves, Mason had 48 appearances in MLR for Austin Elite/Gilgronis.

As a senior club player, Pedersen has previously played for Belmont Shore, San Diego Breakers, Austin Huns, Vancouver Rowing Club, and the Austin Gilgronis.
So far in his MLR career, Mason has scored five tries, made 187 ball carries, has 1,078 meters run, 263 tackles, and 503 ruck arrivals.
Major League Rugby is honoring the first 50 players to reach 50 caps and their role in building the legacy of MLR. The latest of the first twenty-five players to accomplish 50 caps for MLR includes Ryan Matyas of San Diego Legion, Nate Brakeley of the New York Ironworkers, and Ross Deacon, of Rugby ATL.
